How do I hire a private chef for my event?

Hiring a private chef is as simple as requesting a date with Chef Steven Anthony, and discussing various details about your event.  Chef will inquire about the event date, number of expected guests, potential allergies, and which menu you wish to enjoy.

 

What size party can the chef accomodate?

Groups of 4-35 people are welcome.

 

What is included in the pricing?

If you are looking to host an event and are curious about pricing, this is based on a couple of things.  First, the menu.  Chef Steven Anthony offers a variety of menus fit for any number of special occasions (Bachelor / Bachelorette, Private Dinners, Elopements, Wedding Dinners, Birthdays, Special Moments). 

Each service is all inclusive outside of a Travel Fee (if outside of the Breckenridge area), Server Fee (parties of 6 or more), and Gratuity (not expected but very much appreciated).

For each service, Chef Steven Anthony provides cloth napkins, custom china, table decor/ambiance, plus all the food and cookware needed for events.

 

What menu options are available?

Menus are designed with seasonal ingredients and based on your food preferences.  Sample menus are available for viewing on the menu page.  Here you can see the format for how the menu will progress, but please know these are old menus that showcase the flow and style.  For a list of available menus and services, please click here.

 

How long does a typical event last?

Chef Steven Anthony typically arrives two hours prior to your requested dinner time.  With groups coming from various time zones and areas, dinner time is up to you.  Timing for your particular menu lasts about 1-2 hours.  After dinner, the kitchen is cleaned, which takes another hour.  On-site time is roughly 4-5 hours.

 

Will the kitchen be cleaned after the event?

Yes, the kitchen is detailed and cleaned after dinner is served.  

 

Where are the ingredients sourced from?

Chef Steven Anthony proudly supports local, regenerative agriculture throughout Colorado.  He sources his ingredients from ranchers and farmers across the state.  This is some of the best agriculture in the state, and chef works predominantly with producers in the San Luis Valley, Roaring Fork Valley, and Front Range.  Learn more here.

 

What allergies and food preferences are welcomed?

Chef can easily accomodate a variety of food preferences and allergies.  Dairy Free, Nut Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free, Vegetarian, and Vegan diners are all welcome to the table.  Menus are designed via seasonal ingredients and your parties food preferences.

 

What is the cancellation policy?

Events are not fully booked until a deposit is made.  Once a deposit is made (50% of your event), your event date is secure.  The headcount can not be changed or refunded 72 hours or sooner before your event.

Cancellations made outside of three weeks of your event are fully refunded.

Cancellations made within two weeks of the event are ONLY refunded via a rebooking within one year of the event date.

Cancellations made within a week of the event are non-refundable.

All events must be paid in full before the chef arrives for your event.  Failure to pay an invoice can forfeit your party’s dinner and no refund will be given.

 

Can I adjust my party size after?

All events are able to be adjusted with advance notice.  Please communicate any and all changes with 72 hours or more advance notice.

 

Is there a minimum required for dining?

Yes, no matter the headcount size, all events are subject to a minimum of $700 outside of the travel & server fees.
